Sometimes they say - if at first you don't succeed, try , try and try again..

But how do you know what are the parts to change between the multiple attempts? What if while you're trying again and again, you're essentially just doing the same thing over..

And you know what they say about that - Doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. I believe its called insanity.

Hindsight, of course is always perfect, but while you're living through a thing, its just so damn hard to know.

This proverb holds when external circumstances beyond your control influence the outcome . If you keep trying , then when other circumstances are favourable , you may succeed. Also, it is unlikely that you would attempt a task repeatedly and your skill level and adaptability would be the same in each attempt. You are likely to modify and improve your technique with successive attempts. Obviously if you dont change your approach to the problems , and there are no external influences, then the result is a forgone conclusion.

yep, its just that its very hard to know how much of an influence external circumstances play in a particular thing. In some ways, almost everything you contemplate, is influenced by things beyond your control...
